Shalom International Ministry

Our Goals

We aim to train and disciple 1,000 ministers in five Ethiopian congregations each year. To do so, we are developing discipleship training materials in both English and Amharic. We are working to establish an annual weekend conference for 10,000 adults and children with preaching and teaching to equip them as servants of Christ, sending them out as witnesses to the unchurched in their community. (2 Corinthians 3:2-3; 1 Timothy 4:11-16)

Orphanage Ministry

Orphanage ministry goes hand-in -hand with the vision of making disciples. Thus, we want to have an orphanage where the fatherless can come and receive their basic needs and learn about their heavenly father. The school will also be a place where widows can come and know that they are loved and not alone. This will serve as a bridge to reach the unchurched. This is the life a disciple is called to live.

Live as Ambassadors

Live as ambassadors of Christ in their vocations. When Christ was training his 12 disciples, He slept, ate, and talked with them. He showed them all they needed to know about being disciple before He let them go on their own, for the mission.

This is the kind of discipleship making that we want to train church leaders to follow in making disciples. We want them to take in depth look at how Christ walked and see Him as a role model.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
